Milena Govich

Milena Govich is an actor director, musician, and actor. She has directed many episodes of TV that include Chicago Med (2015) (211) and The Equalizer (221). She also was the Co-EP/Producing Director on Dick Wolf's CBS series FBI (2018) and is attached to direct two pilots currently in development. Milena was one of eight women chosen by AFI for their most prestigious Directing Workshop for Women. She also participated in the Sony Pictures Television Diverse Directors program. Unspeakable was her TV series and short film. It starred Jeff Kober and Laura Vandervoort the film was awarded the best episodic award at Seattle International Film Festival as well as the Best Pilot award at the SoHo International Film Festival. The short film Temporary (2017, by Milena Vandervoort) has been screened across the nation. It was awarded Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival and Best Dark Comedy at Atlanta ShortsFest. The Director's Choice Award was also given out at Sedona International Film Festival. Milena has been in over 100 episodes of television acting as an actress. She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). She was also featured in the Dick Wolf series Conviction (2006) which culminated in her being the first and the only female detective in the Emmy-winning show Law & Order (1990). K-Ville (2007), The Defenders (2010) (CBS), Make It or Break It (2009) (ABC Family) and Lori Stevens in the MTV drama Finding Carter (2014) have all featured her or recurred. Milena has appeared in many films such as Sordid Things (2010); A Novel Romance (2011) starring alongside Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015) and starring alongside Method Man; as well as #Lucky Number (2015). Milena, a native of Norman, Oklahoma was the valedictorian in her high-school, but before that, she completed two majors in vocal performance and a premedical degree at the University of Central Oklahoma. She was also named valedictorian. Soon after she took advantage of her ballet and classical training to appear on Broadway in the production of Sam Mendes and Rob Marshall of "Cabaret" at Studio 54.
