Markie Post

Markie Post was born in Walnut Creek, California. Her first professional work was in productions for television and film like "Card Sharks" (1978) or "The New Card Sharks” (1986). Then, she created projects such as Double Dare (1976). Also, she has appeared on television shows like 1st to Die (2003) and E! True Hollywood Story (1996), Electra Woman (2001) as well as Dyna Girl (2001). She is perhaps most famous for her part in "Christine Sullivan" in the show, a Night Court star (1984). From 1984 until 1992, she was a part of 156 shows. Daughter of Marylee (Armstrong) Post, poet, and famous nuclear physical scientist Richard Freeman Post (November 14, 1918 - April 7 2015). With her second husband Michael A. Ross, she had two children: Katie Ross (born June 26 in 1986) and Daisy Ross (30 March 1990). She was born in Palo alto, California and grew up near Walnut Creek, California. Attended Las Lomas High School in Walnut Creek, California; she was an athlete. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Lewis & Clark College, Portland Oregon. She did some trick roping in The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). Her body was cremated, and her remains were given to her husband Michael A. Ross. She was a lifelong Democrat. Markie Post died three months following her 71st Birthday, August 7, 2021. She was just 27 days from Charles Robinson, Night Court (1984) and her co-star who passed away on July 11 2021. Even though the two shows are not connected, Night Court (1984) concluded with Christine Sullivan's character moving to Washington DC. Hearts Afire (1992) began with Post as Georgie Lahti. Post was a new character in Hearts Afire (1992), after which she relocated into a smaller town after working in Washington DC.
