Mary-Louise Parker

Mary-Louise Parker was born August 2nd in 1964. She is an American actress. After her Broadway debut as Rita in Craig Lucas's Prelude to a Kiss in 1990 (for which she won an Tony Award nomination), Parker became famous for her film roles in Grand Canyon (1991), Fried Green Tomatoes (1991), The Client (1994), Bullets over Broadway (1994), A Place for Annie (1994), Boys on the Side (1995), The Portrait of a Lady (1996), and The Maker (1997). Parker took home the 2001 Tony Award as Best Actress in an independent film for her portrayal in David Auburn's Proof of Catherine Llewellyn. She played Amy Gardner on NBC's television series The West Wing from 2001 to 2006. The role she played was so successful that she was nominated in 2002 for the Primetime Emmy Award in Outstanding Supporting Actress In the Drama Series. As part of her performance as Harper Pitt in the HBO miniseries Angels in America, she was awarded an Golden Globe Award and a Primetime Emmy Award. She also received an award for her performance in the series, a Primetime Emmy Award and a Primetime Emmy Award. In 2006, Parker was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award in Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. In 2007 Parker was nominated for three times for The Primetime Emmy Award in Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. She also received the Golden Globe Award in 2006 for Best Actress in Red (2010) and R. (2013) and Red 2 (2013). Parker was back on Broadway in 2019 , to appear in The Sound Inside, for the second time, she won a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play. Parker has contributed articles to Esquire magazine since 2007. The magazine also published Dear Mr. You in 2015. She was the lead in Roma Guy in the ABC miniseries "When We Rise" in 2017. In 2018, she was an advisor to the political on Billions the show, which is a Showtime show.
